Dream fragments and frozen Orbs After 3.0.8

I am pleased to present our first Guest Poster -> MarkC of Fair My two copper. His blog is focused on the economy of WoW and shares her tips for making gold in WoW. He appeared in his blog a few times and have enjoyed getting their ideas on the tides of economic game, as the various changes are implemented by Blizzard. He was also recently presented at Tobold's MMORPG blog, so it's shaping up to be an active participant in the family of WoW blogs.

MarkC has offered to write a post with their thoughts on how best to capitalize on the Dual-Spec feature that many of us believe that is just around the corner (I vote next patch!). I am sure this is something that most of the scribes are thinking, I know I'm looking for ways to revive my unhappy with the recent registration efforts. So without further ado, here is his analysis:

"How to prepare for 3.1 Specifications double – by MarkC

Hello everyone! This is my message to the first guest on the blog of Kaliope's and I want to show you all how to prepare for when the patch awaited double live specifications. I am the owner, operator, and the daily lineup Fair My two copper and bring a 10-game designer look of the year on how to make gold in World of Warcraft. Armed with my knowledge, I guarantee you will make thousands of gold in the Patch Day. Let's start …

I. Preparation for Patch Day

Complete the Northrend Quest Journal entry every day.

The same goes for the lesser of registration to obtain minors. You know you can stop doing the day when it begins to generate duplicate entries already present in their registration book. Note snow that inks can be purchased for ten sea inks and other ink can be traded for a single ink of the sea. This means that the best way to prepare for the review of specifications for the collection of double ink sea before trading in them and make specific glyphs needed.

My strategy was the first time to see all the glyphs only auction house to see if it was there. I printed a list of all that I could write glyphs instead of having to search through clumsy tool auction house search. These are all symbols so you can print out for patch day. I would also advise to make 2 of each glyph, even those not sold well, just so you can catch people glyphs randomly test their character. Double sheet will be a day of experimentation, so it's good to have all the glyphs available for sale to curious buyers in their server.

(Children) Battle, bloody, cargo, Thunder, mocking blow, Enduring Victoria.

Quick Tip: When reading this list to understand that the most popular selling glyphs are will flip flop. Why is this? Well, let's say 90% of warriors are prot (completely wrong but just pretend), why buy the glyphs Prot? They will want a dps set of glyphs instead. Classes are primary tanks (druids, warriors, paladins and DK) will want to set DPS. Another example could be priests. Very few priests at this time are the shadows that are likely to shadow glyphs will sell better on the day the patch. Keep this in mind when pre-storage patch for the day.

II. Patch Day practices: a study on how I made 20k gold registration first came out and how you can learn from my experiences on this occasion.

Step 1: First I herbs storage the last time, this time he was storing ink sea. To be exact, I had prepared for the 5800 grass patch day to help me level and then allows me to do what glyphs I wanted. With the ink of sea trade may be, this is going to fall into this easy. I have a bank tab full of ink ready this time (98 x 20 = 1960 ink), along with two other bank cards pre-made glyphs.

Step 2: Do not pigeon hole glyphs in itself any kind, sent me an alt character initially with two of every single glyph ridiculous prices. Some of them sold, but I see that this happens on the day after patch, you'll have to outsmart his opponents probably prepared this time. A few minutes of my posting alt, dozens of greedy auctioneers below me sometimes with twenty or more glyphs around 50% of a deduction. Then jumped in my initial posting was made (this took a good hour) and all others with less than two glyphs of all kinds in my character. You should try a similar approach and look for deals. People will be stupid enough glyphs to send the prices that I have made for pre-review. If you have a glyph for twenty gold and weakens someone with three times two gold each, you know the best move? Definitely should not undermine them, however, buying and renovating out, because if they only sold still get a huge profit. Repeat this process for thirty glyphs and money is considerable. Remember that people will WANT TO BUY YOUR SIGNS and will be very difficult for the auctioneers to meet demand. Imagine if every person on the server to buy blue gems, blue gems how about six to be exact, on the same day. That's what the inscription will be. Oh, and most people BBA is well, this type of demand will make crazy profits.

Step 3: In the course of 48 hours, I checked the auction house every chance he had (I also worked 16 hours and slept probably 12 at the time so it was glued to the screen). A good goal is to check the auction house, once every two hours to see the glyphs selling and need replacement. It is possible that almost all glyphs is gone and replacing them is a real pain. I advise to use auctions to publish their articles, but not allowed to decide the price automatically, it will be through previous market estimates. Remember not to post more than two or three of any character, because otherwise, invite undercutting. If people see a glyph under of its six glyphs will only wait and let yours to sell or buy yours, possibly, to republish it. Keep as few glyphs as possible in the house auction is a winning strategy in the patch day. I know it allowed me to earn twenty thousand of gold in two days of the sale of the glyphs only. The trick is to always ad only some glyphs are increasingly buying yours. In the final offer remains very low and the price has remained extremely high.

Step 4: Have a minimum profit you want to do.

Learn how low you are willing to advance the sale of the glyphs. Each glyph is only now the same value in terms of benefits, since they are mostly from the ink of the sea. If glyphs flooding in any area, continue after one or two the minimum profit you want to do. Just make sure you are always bathed in a profit. Things are going to get hairy on the day of patch and you'll have to know your limits, because there will be plenty of buyers from other glyphs at any time.

III. Use Chat Trade correctly Patch Day

Do not publish individual glyphs in the trade. Do not post spell of the trade books. Rather, it should publish something like this:

"ALL Azeroth Northrend and pictograms for sale, PST registration for the book "

This type of advertising does two things. First, it draws attention the reader in the word "all" and "PST for the registration book." Mentally, a reader stop looking at all other positions in the trade channel to whisper in your registration book. Once you have whispered, you should immediately respond with his book of spells and have a predetermined place to sell their glyphs. My suggestion is to sit in the mailbox on the drag, which is right next to where the glyphs can be applied in the first place. This marketing strategy should significantly increase its sales glyph pending auction house to work their magic. Note that only sold about fifty years, with glyphs this method and over seven hundred through the auction house. Therefore, it is best to fully shares the auction house then wasting time in trade chat when Items you are selling. Create a "whisper tab that contains only whispers in order to help keep track of conversations with their buyers with you.

We hope this will help you make the maximum amount of benefits and patch day next week. Thanks for Kaliope allow me to guest post on my blog! This place is a great resource for WoW players and hope to publish again.

Thanks and good luck,

Autism

My son was diagnosed with autism at age 2 years and 3 months. A month later he was in an intensive-in-one home therapy. At five years, was in a regular mainstream school, totally indistinguishable from their peers.

I soon realized that there was very little software available for teaching children with autism. This document summarizes information about autism that I have acquired over the years and computer software used to help recovery my son.

It is important to understand that without autism therapy or intervention, a child with autism or PDD will absorb far less information and knowledge of the environment of a typical child. typical child starts talking about 1.5 to 2 years, with little help from their parents or siblings. Then acquire around 6 new words a day and have an incredible vocabulary of 10,000 words before the age of seven. A child with autism may be verbal much later and have poor language and social skills, if there is no speech and behavior. At least initially, a child with autism should be given a strong knowledge base, ie to be taught speech, language and age-appropriate behavior.

To print this document on Autism, click above on "File" then "Print" and then "OK". Bookmark and visit this site again for more tips. I usually add more material in the software for Autism and other resources each week or two.

Start working with your child

If you still suspect your child has autism or ASD, you should start working with him immediately. Do not waste vital time waiting for a formal diagnosis of Autism. I met a mother who waited six months for a formal diagnosis of autism before any treatment. Imagine how much he could have taught his son at that time. You will discover for himself that most doctors know very little about autism and merely recommend speech therapy, special education or early intervention center. The worst that some doctors make a parent is to take away hope. You will gain more information about autism from other parents of children with autism than you would from any general practitioner. By working with your child and see results soon will meet with other parents of children newly diagnosed with autism to come to you for advice. Start working with your child now, even if this means trying to communicate with him through the game. This time, never wasted. Even if the tests show that your child does not have an autistic disorder, which has lost nothing. Trying to teach a child with autism in the table may be difficult at first, as the child may resist learning and lots of reinforcement and positive encouragement is vital. There are many methods of structured teaching for children with autism, such as ABA, TEACCH, PECS and Greenspan to name a few. Many Parents often take their own successful strategies for teaching their children at home.

Refusal
Many parents simply not believe their child has an autistic disorder or even seek a diagnosis. All too often ignore the clear signs of autism in their child and somehow I hope to improve on their own. They usually wait until it's too late to start working with your child. Some of the excuses I hear are: "She looks good – only the terrible two "" My son started talking at five "," Einstein had autism and started talking at nine "," He will only grow outside it "(and the list goes on …).

Diagnosis of autism

Although an early diagnosis of autism or ASD this potentially devastating disorder is critical, children with autism rarely receive a diagnosis before age 3 or 4 years. No external physical differences among children and typical autistic children – in fact, most children with autism are very pretty. The only differences are behavioral. autistic children happen at least some of the following:
Speech and language skills
For example, playing inappropriate. child may continuously spin the wheels of a toy car instead of pushing
May line of toys or other objects
Problems interacting with others
Poor eye contact
Walking on toes
Hand flapping
Tendency to have narrowly focused and odd interests
No calling things the same way other children
No show to other objects
If not geared to one's name is called
The failure to participate in the interplay which is a back and forth between two people
The lack motor copy of other movements
You may not use pointing to direct the attention of another person
May resist social touch such as hugging

Autism Spectrum
A child with autism can be anywhere in the broad autism spectrum. "At the top, the child may seem almost normal and have few autistic traits. He may be the quiet in the classroom with few or no friends and a couple of strange customs. Ni even be diagnosed with autism until much later in life. At the lower end of the spectrum of autism, the child is called low-functioning, have problems speech and language and require much more intensive autism therapy. No matter where a child is on the autism spectrum, which can and should be helped.

PDD and autism
Pervasive developmental disorder or PDD is actually a bit of a misnomer. Many doctors would not like to commit to give a diagnosis of autism will tell parents that their child has PDD or FDD, when in fact the child is in the spectrum of autism or ASD.

Types Autism
Some children are born with autism, while others develop the disease usually in their second year. the latter is known as autism late onset. The child begins to normal life and gradually develops the symptoms of autism, losing his speech and gradually showing more and more symptoms if autism. If diagnosed and treated early with one-on-one therapy, autistic children show a marked improvement, often to the point of being called "recovered". This is where the child with autism does not differ from their peers.

Asperger's Disorder and autism
Asperger disorder, also Asperger's syndrome is a type of pervasive developmental disorder (PDD or PDD), defined by the American Psychiatric Association. Asperger's disorder is similar to high-functioning autism in the way it affects a child's gestures and traits of socialization. A distinction between Asperger syndrome and autism is that children with Asperger's often have normal language development, although the pace, tone and emphasis are irregular. Unlike autism, Asperger's Disorder no other developmental delay, a child usually aged self-confidence and interest in the world around him or her. However, as autism, children with Asperger syndrome have abnormal social interactions, facial expressions and gestures. Asperger's disorder affects males 9 times more than females. Its cause is unknown. More research is needed to confirm whether Asperger's Disorder is a condition that is genetically related to autism.

Autism therapy and speech therapy
A common mistake is to assume that speech therapy is the solution for Autism. Speech therapy certainly has its place in question refined and child language and vocalization, but it requires many hours a week of intense-on-one work to teach a child to compliance with Autism new concepts, language and age-appropriate behavior. A child with autism will probably see a speech therapist for 1 or 2 hours a week. Much more is needed work to bring a child with autism to school and ensure its success in school once he gets there. Once your child is in school, would should continue the speech therapy sessions. Some schools have a speech therapist who works with children in the school itself. More information about autism and schools later.

Language is the key

The frustration of a child with autism was once described as being in a maze where the walls are glass, trying to communicate with someone on the outside and can only blast walls. There is no doubt that a lot of frustration and tantrums can be reduced or even avoided if communication and language is encouraged and developed. A typical child very early works that is in their interest to acquire language, while a child with autism. He needs to be taught that language will achieve results. At this point, if your child asks for something, give it away or at least respond to your request promptly. Ignoring it will not encourage his speech.

When should I start treating a child with Autism?

If a child has autism, the clock has already started even before any make formal diagnosis. Most of the increases will do when the child is in his early years. Although children as young as 18 months are in autism therapy, most are diagnosed after 2 years of age and treatment started even later. Whatever you do, do not leave until it's too late. Simply, before starting to teach a child with autism, the better.

Autism Treatment

Of all treatments for autism in all, ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) has attracted the most attention. The system pioneered by Dr. Ivar Lovaas at UCLA in the sixties is a learning program that works to remove systematic of the "features" of autism until the child does not meet the criteria for the condition. The system is very intense, but proved a great success in almost all cases of autism. The system of Applied Behavior Analysis teaching basically breaks down any task into subtasks and puts a major emphasis on rewarding children to work well. There is no punishment at all in the system. Autism therapy begins in a structured, very rigid, but gradually the shape of normal school environment. Those who know little or nothing about ABA can say that is too rigid and becomes the child in a 'robot' on rote learning. This seems so at the beginning but as the child learns to learn, which progresses to a point where he can join his comrades typical learning style. Most parents to persevere in the program for two to three years can successfully incorporate their children. The results speak for themselves. The child will usually start school, attending regular classes with an aide. The wizard is "disappeared" and combines it with the child in the class. Learn about assistants and discoloration later. An excellent piece of software is the "Discrete Trial Trainer" that uses the principles of applied behavior analysis to rapidly increase the language of a child. We have this product in our range of software.

How many hours?

One question that arises is how many behavioral therapy hours ago a child with autism need? There are many cases where a child with autism needs up to 40 hours a week but of course, depends on the severity level of the boy. A program usually begins with about 15 to 20 hours a week and may operate for 30 or more hours a week. Once a child with autism is in school, hours of work at home will fall back. The quality is, of course, more important than quantity and energetic, dedicated therapists are vital to your child's progress.

Work with your child
I strongly suggest that parents start to work with the child at least initially, rather than leaving a therapist. Your child / To trust you and understand you are trying to help. You need to have boundless energy, be animated and really loves teaching your child. This is not easy and Experts estimate that could do this for no more than 10 to 12 hours a week. If both parents shift, the task is of course much easier. Later, you could introduce a therapist or two to help you not be able to maintain a high energy level for too long. One advantage of doing the initial work yourself is that a good therapist will know when you see one, and be able to eliminate those who are of little value to your child.

Choosing a therapist
Choosing a good therapist for a child with autism is not easy if you have not worked with a child yourself. Many parents really experienced will be able to train their new therapists. Therapists can be anyone with enough energy, enthusiasm, patience and genuine love for children. Children under 18 are often be too small and immature (sometimes really be afraid!). Mothers with children often do not have the time and energy and often do not like being told how treat children as they feel the experts. One applicant told me how that regularly hit their own children when they misbehaved. No place for these people in home. A good tip is to make a short list that you believe might be appropriate and tell you that there will be a training period of a couple of weeks which will not pay. Many of them will be removed as work with a child with autism is very demanding and not suitable for everyone.

Special schools
Although there are many excellent special schools in all, sadly, many underfunded, poorly staffed and poorly equipped to teach children with autism. There usually is not enough one-on-one support for children and worst of all, the child may pick up inappropriate behavior of other children autism. I think this breaks my heart, as there is so much a child with autism can learn in the critical early years.

Mainstream Schools

Your goal should be to get your child in a mainstream school. Three years of intense-on-one work at home will go a long, long road to integration with a child's success. Once a child with autism is successfully incorporated that has won half the battle. I say this because it would be desirable to continue working with him at home. You need to educate the principal and staff on Autism and a good idea for you or your therapist or adviser (if any) to make a short presentation. I recommend strongly the link to your child's teachers to address the difficulties at school. You could use this feedback to work with him at home that prevents left behind. Obtaining advance his school books and material they are covering in school is a good idea can work with these at home, reading to him at night, etc. so it is not new to him at school. It is advisable to keep your house therapists and their assistants at the school since it is known far better than any school provided by an assistant. It is necessary to discuss this with the school principal before school starts. Once entering the school, you may need to start with a few hours, for example. 2-3 hours per day and gradually build up a full day.

Unequal capacity
A child with autism often have unequal powers, for example. he may have very strong areas such as memorization of pictures or words and reading at an early age and weak areas, such as making social contact with their peers. It is necessary to first identify areas of strength. It goes without saying that you should use these strengths to the fullest advantage. For example, if the child have strong reading skills, explore this to the fullest. Many children with autism have strong visual skills. Use pictures to stimulate and improve their language. If your child learns to read and write before he gets to school, will be one less thing to worry and have more time to learn other skills they lack.

"My son can not talk at all!" Where do I start? "
A frantic mother of a child with autism, once called me phone with this issue. Teaching speech to an autistic child is a step by step. A child can not run before you can walk. Before attempting to actual speech, first can teach a child to match identical images, then not identical, ie images that match a red car with a different colors. The next step is for the child's receptive language prompted by the image of, for example. cat, horse, house, etc (see below). If your child can receptive language achieve or has already reached this stage, this is promising as it can at least understand what you are saying and this will ultimately lead him to express himself verbally. Do not be complacent, though, as their vocabulary may be limited. Do what you can make sure your vocabulary is extended as widely as possible.

Receptive language
This is where the child understands what others say. It is an important step in the progress of a child with autism. However, is sufficient for the child to understand only a handful of words such as food, milk, etc. The typical bicycle seven year old can understand and use at least 10,000 words. A child with autism has to have his receptive language increased as early and as quickly as possible.

Receptive language software
Discrete trial Trainer is a software package that allows your computer aa use to teach your child any number of labels and sounds. What happens is that the display 2 to 5 images and the child is asked about such speakers. "Touch eat." If the child correctly, click on the image right with the mouse or touch screen, which is rewarded with a little animation. When a label is mastered, the program goes to the next label, occasionally put labels on master to see if the child has remembered them. This CD has been extremely successful. You can set the difficulty level and gives a visual report of your progress. With this package can be used to teach classes such as letters, words, shapes, numbers, colors, objects, body parts, actions / verbs.

Teaching with photos
"A picture is worth a thousand words" and the use of images is an excellent way to teach speech, language and communication. Children with autism are very visual and can be taught almost anything using images. Temple Grandin, autistic famous author of many books Autism, once said she thinks in pictures. You need thousands of good photographic images to help with the "generalization", ie if a child with autism has only one photo of a white dog and taught it is a dog, can not easily recognize a German shepherd or a rottweiler as a dog when he sees it. Using new and varied materials also keeps a child from getting bored and frustrated. Minimize the number of wooden images or designs used. Photographic equipment real color is better than the images are more life-like and much easier for the child to relate to. You can never have too many photos of his collection. Get them from anywhere you can – magazines, old books, the website, printed catalogs, including the Spam!

Printing from a CD-ROM
The falling prices of computers and color printers has created a trend away from buying expensive printed flashcards software to TeachingPix2 as our CD-ROM containing thousands of images on color photographic education that can be printed from a home PC to a color printer in a small fraction of the cost. You can pay up to a dollar for every flash memory card printer, while printing of our CD-ROM works in about 1 percent of image. Another advantage of using a CD-ROM with a wide range of images is that they can select and print what you need at any time. You do not need to print all images immediately. TeachingPix2 The images can have their labels on or off. You can print images in different sizes from 1 per page (plus large) to 8 per page (smaller). This CD-ROM with more than 10,000 images of teaching printer is our most popular and widely used to teach children around the world. The images can be used in any school system as the ABA and Pécs including working with the matching, receptive language and expressive language.

Printers
Modern color printers are not only much cheaper than were just a few years ago, also can print photo-quality prints in common (photocopy) on paper and do not require expensive special paper. If you are printing thousands of images to use as cards, you may not want to print on special paper. You must be able to print photo quality images for regular photocopy paper. If you already have a printer that requires a special paper to print thousands of images, may be worth looking into getting a new printer. Inkjet printers ink new products of high quality text and images in black and white or color. Many inkjet printers today can print or photographic images BubbleJet and laser-like text that is close enough to the quality of more expensive laser printers. Personally, I use a Canon ink jet, although there are many other good quality at a low price around the models.

Printing in draft mode
Try printing in draft mode. If quality is almost as good as the best way you can be worthy of printing in this mode as the tracks will not only faster but also cheaper as they use less ink.

Laminate your pictures

Laminate your pictures will give them a much longer life. If you are laminating a large number images, a good idea is to first buy a good laminator. If you are going to add more than one picture by rolling bag, insert your pictures cut rolling on the stock with a space between each image to cut about later. After running the pouch through the laminator, cut between the cards. No Remember to round off the sharp corners that could easily injure someone. The rolling stock is recommended are 120 microns or (more resistant) 150 microns thick. It's a good idea to insert 4 photos clipped by letter size (or A4) laminated bag. Bags can be bought in packs of a hundred.

Using their own images

It is always a good idea to include your own photos taken from the child's environment, members of the family, familiar places, Sometimes, school, classroom, school friends, etc to teach your child. Using a conventional camera (film) is good, but having many hundreds of images not only expensive, but not easily resize photos, add tags to easily include images or other electronic documents may want to create. The advent of digital camera lets you take an unlimited number of images you can download to your computer. Once the images are downloaded, the camera is reset and can take the next batch. A great feature of the CD-ROM TeachingPix2 is that you can also view, resize, and print your own digital camera images to use as cards.

The organization of your cards

It is important to organize cards or if it's a waste of vital time looking for them when needed. My suggestion for the size of the cards to be used for teaching is to maintain a level of 4 per letter size (or A4) page – much bigger and you will find it difficult to archive images. A good idea is to obtain a set of (preferably long) card file cabinets for the cards in their ranks, for example. animals, activities, food, vehicles, plants, etc. The cabinets we recommend are around 16IN (42cm) long and can hold at least 200 laminated flashcards. Take a photo of the laminated card with you to size when looking cabinets. A good place to find a cabinet and office furniture store used equipment. I use a cabinet drawer in each category. You can cut the cards with the name here for stand above subdivide cards such categories. for animals – cat, dog, chicken, etc.

Rotation of its material
Once a noun, verb or concept has been mastered by your child, you must rotate is, their material is not used the same image again and again as this can be very frustrating for a child with autism (another good reason to have a large collection of images). A good idea to make sure that your images are rotated is "selected from the front and back to back", ie if you have 8 pictures of a cat, then choose one of the front of the apparatus and where there finished with it, return to the back of the set. In this way the images are used uniformly.

Using sound
Many children with autism have difficulty processing sounds and distinguish the sound of normal conversation. Therefore, they often appear deaf despite having normal hearing. Typical children are able to "filter out background noise of auditory information useful. Children with autism often attempt block this barrage of sound and retreat to their own world. In many cases they will carry out its ears. In some cases, will rock back and forth in an attempt to block the sensory overload. Aa is important to teach these children to identify sounds. This goes a long way to be able to resolve the noise of auditory information useful, as the instructions of a teacher, a voice of parents, traffic, barking dog, etc. Some sounds you can teach your child to identify are:
Airplane, ambulance, baby crying, Bagpipes, bathtub faucet, Bee, Bell, bicycle, bell blows his nose, brushing teeth, Cannonfire, Cat, Chick, Chicken, children's play, chopping, church bell, the palms, the clock ticking, cough, cow, Cricket, Crow, Cry Baby, infant crying, dishes, Dentist drill, dog, dolphin, Puppy, Drill, Drum, Duck, Rubber Ducky, bite the apple, elephant trumpet, fan, fire, fire alarm, a truck fire, fireworks, toilets, Flute, Blender, Frog, Goat, Goose, fire, guitar, hair dryer, pounding nails, Harp, helicopter, horse neighing, galloping horse, Jet, PC keyboard, Kissing, Kitten, knocking on the door, Laughing, Lightning, Lion, Monkey, Motorcycle, Mouse, mowing, Ocean Coke bottle opening, Owl, Parrot, Peacock, Piano, Pig, pinball machine, police cars, casting, punching power, railway crossing, rooster crowing, sawn timber, scissors, seagulls, sea lions, Sheep, Shower, sneezing, pool table, stirring the tea into the cup, tambourine, tap dancing, Running, tearing paper, Telephone, tractors, trains, trucks, Trumpet, Turkey, Vacuum cleaner, Yawning One way is to use a tape player and cards to get the child to identify and / or match the sound to the images. An easier option is the "SpeakingPix" software.

The "SpeakingPix" CD-ROM (screenshot pictured above) comes with more than 2,200 images, each with a voice that is played when clicked. Can on each record voice or sound as often as you want. This includes all of the 150 sounds listed above, each with a picture in the category of "Sound" you can teach your child to identify. This product is a valuable tool for speech therapy. You can include your own images and voices, or sounds, and play sounds by clicking on the images. You can print what you see on the screen as cards. It's a fun way to learn and identify sounds and voices.

Sensory issues
Autism is a sensory disorder that affects one or more of the senses of children:
Touch: A child with autism can be very sensitive to touch and may withstand close contact, hugs, etc, even their parents.
Sound: Some sounds could be unbearable for an autistic child. You can even have your ears to hear some voices or sounds. Some children with extreme sound sensitivity will respond better if the teacher speaks to them softly.
Taste: Some food textures could be unpleasant for a child with autism. Some children will eat only a select group of foods.
Vision: An adult autistic stated that it could bear to look yellow.
Odor: Some children may show a strong preference for unusual odors often true.
You must take this into account when setting up environment for your child's learning and be prepared to make any adjustments.

Learning environment
A child with autism must start working in a quiet environment without distractions. However, the real world is not so sterile. A classroom of children can be very noisy. You should therefore little introduce some "noise" in the education environment of their child. One way is to start with the doors and windows closed and for a period of time, gradually open doors and windows. You can also enter very soft music, turning the sound up very slowly in recent weeks. If you find your child can not concentrate, reduce noise levels and start again slowly.

Working in the table
Working and concentration on the table for a child with autism is not easy, especially at first. Keep the sessions short to begin with. It is always tempting to keep going when the child is well. But this will fail if you keep the child working in an exercise for long. You'll know this when the child does not want to start the next financial year as shown by a large number protest behavior. Always move slowly. Never reward a child that is working well with more work. If you feel you have done particularly well in a drill, you leave for a short break to do whatever he wants. Soon it will make the connection between good work and awards. There may be times when you let go for a break only to come to the table without protest by all.

Finishing on a positive note
When you begin a series of exercises with their child, you should always end on a positive note. If you finish an exercise, when the child has a tantrum, it just tell him he can finish his work with a tantrum. one tantrum may mean that the drill is too long, too hard or easy, even frustrating or boring. There may be occasions when the child would simply an exercise. In this case, get him to do something much easier to complete, for example. "Clap Your Hands" (applauding) "Well, good boy, you're going." This principle applies to all aspects of the child's daily routine and activities. For example, if the tantrums of brushing teeth and lets you exit the bathroom, while he is screaming, he soon learns that the best way out of brushing your teeth is to throw a tantrum. The only way is to ignore the tantrum (can be very difficult) and continue the task at hand or at least until it was referred. let it go then, I will teach you are rewarded for good behavior or complete the task.

Getting organized
You must reserve a space to do their job and keep your equipment such as toys, books, paintings, cards, videos, etc. They soon accumulate a large volume of items that must be available when needed. A good set of shelves to hold books, videotapes and a lot good size stackable drawers for their cards, pictures and toys is a good idea. If your child has overcome his toys, store them in the garage. Toys that have lost their value reinforcement could return at a later stage. For a child with autism, appropriate toys to play with is always a plus. Do not store to get new toys. Join a toy library is a good idea to save money. Another idea is networking with other parents and sharing toys with them.

Sight reading
Reading is, of course, a vital skill without which a child can not go very far in school or society. A common mistake is to teach reading using words without pictures or any other means. The child can learn to sight-read by memorizing the sequence of notes but can not understand much of what is reading. A better approach is to start using the images with the text below. The child will associate words with images. Do not teach your child to read words not know the meaning of. TeachingPix2 The CD-ROM mentioned above is an image source that can be printed with or without labels to teach music theory.

Phonics
Most educators do not use the child's visual strengths to complement this method of reading. The use of images makes the task more interesting and of course relevant. Again, do not teach your child to read words that do not know the meaning of. You must document what your child to read. Once you are sure you know the meaning of a word to comment this word as "dominated".

Software reading

We have a market for CD-ROM entitled CompuThera offering a discrete seven-step approach to teach reading gradual. It is designed to children with learning by observation. It is aimed at visual learners and children with classic traditional teaching methods can not motivate. Children with Autism fit this category, so they benefit more CompuThera.
Guidance receptive and expressive cognitive skills, the treatment plan is based on articles CompuThera master to progress through the program using simple drills, eventually leading to reading simple sentences.
The ability to read often results in autistic children the conceptual leap in the advancement in communication. The CD-ROM comes with full instructions and a "seven steps to reading for Visual learners and children with Autism therapists.

Using television as a teaching tool
My son learned the alphabet from Sesame Street. She loves watching movies. I use this to advantage by allowing you to watch DVDs with the subtitles enabled. No doubt this has contributed to his reading. Spelling
When spelling tests of your child, not just say, for example. "Spell cat." Try to get that work outside the word you want to say, for example. "What animal meow and milk drinks. When you say "Cat", or "Great cat spell. This will help build connections in mind that the development of all children need. Be imaginative and use different clues each time.

Knowing when to pass
Once your child has mastered an exercise (or understanding a word, concept, spelling, reading or whatever) must happen or he gets bored and frustrated and this can manifest in bad behavior. A good rule of thumb is if the child gets the proper exercise of 8 out of 10 times, consider it mastered. Go to the next piece of material, but dominated the exercise twice a week for two weeks then once a week for a month, then every two weeks for two months and then once a month for four months. The exercise is then truly mastered. Of course, you could be running several programs in given day. Work with your child will teach your child to challenge, but not to the point where the demands are too high. A good consultant to oversee its education schedule is well worth considering.

What does a consultant do?
At first, a consultant set up a hotline base ie to establish whether the child is in their development and thus develop an educational program to follow on a daily basis. Ideally you should consult their advisor once a week. On a weekly basis, a good consultant will work hard with your child about two hours while watching very carefully – take to do the same job for the following week. After working with the child, the consultant will talk with parents and decide on the work to be done in the following week. With our son, who had a spreadsheet document live the work we did during the week. When the consultant came in and could look at print and see at a glance how it went during the week. At the end of the meeting, which will modify it to include the new programs. A consultant will tell you which programs begin, continue and drop.

Recording Method
With several different exercises in the schedule of your child, you must have some kind of recording system. Keeping track of a child exercises and progress is very important. If this is not done, we run the risk of not recall what the child has learned. It will frustrate the child using materials repeatedly and worst of all that material could fall before a drill has been mastered. A simple but very effective is to record progress the child in a spreadsheet like Excel. Keeping track of pictures, words, etc. are mastered, and the next, gives you an easy way to rotation of their material so that the child does not get bored with the topics mastered, keeps focused on the current material and allows time to work on the development of new themes and ideas that can be added to the list. The full schedule can be held in a single file with each program on a different worksheet within the file.

The Most common words

Full Webster has over 460,000 words. However, about 75% of all words used in school books, books, newspapers and magazines are on the Dolch basic sight vocabulary of only 220 words, these words are: to approximately then again, everyone, always, am, an, and, particularly, are in everything, like, ask at ate away be because it has been, first, better, better, bigger, black, blue, both, bring, brown, but, buy, by, call, came, can carry, clean, cold, come, could, court, no, no, no, indeed, down, drawing, drinking, eating, eight, all fall, now, quick, find, first, five, fly, for, found, four, from, full, fun, le gave, get, give, go, go, go, well, he's green, grow, had, has, has he, help her, here, him, her, keep warm, how, hurt me, if, in, ie, his, jumping, just, keep, kind, know, laugh, let, light, like little live long look, done that many, may, me, and much, never, me, me,, again, no, no, now, outside, man, at once, just, open, or, our, out, up, own selection, play, please, pretty, pull, put, run, read, red, ride, right, round, run, said he saw, for example, see, seven, shall, she, show, sing, sit, six, sleep, small, therefore, some, soon, start, stop, take, say, ten, thank you, him, her, them, then, there, these, which I believe these three, which, today, together, well, try two, under, above, about, us, use, very, walking, want, warm, was, wash, We, too, was, were, what, when, where, who, white, why, will, desire, work, would, write, yellow, yes, you, you.
And these words by hand and teach your child as soon as possible. It has pictures that are present in the wall or bulletin board with the tabs underneath them. When the child begins to read, this list should be kept at hand. Some concepts such as "thinking" and "wish" come after simple things like "jump" and "drink" but hey, Rome was not built in a day! An excellent source of words is the ladybird book series called "Key Words Reading Scheme, which is a set of story books for children organized very intelligently include the 1,200 most frequently used words in the English language. These well-illustrated books the child's language gradually.

Hitting a brick wall

Some educators will tell you that ultimately, that is, hit a brick wall that will not be able to go beyond a certain point when teaching an autistic child. I think not. We were told that our son would not be able to read beyond the standard of 200 words. At age 6 can read and understand over 1,000 words and over 400 spell with his growing vocabulary with each day. When you reach a brick wall, that do not break your head against it. Finding a way around it! Also, do not believe everything the doctors tell you. You will discover for yourself what are the strengths and weaknesses of your child while working with him.

Using the computer as a teaching tool

Children with autism may be very strong visual learners and can benefit greatly from a personal computer. However, there are plenty of over-valued price and software out there with very little reinforcement and limited educational value. The best software allows you to edit the information and enter new materials and reinforcement. The reinforcement is of vital importance (and a serious shortage in most software packages for learning) to maintain the child's interest and participation. The software also must be easy to use – easy for a parent of operating and editing and, of course, if the child is to run the software should be easy for him to do so. Our son is almost 150 CD-ROM his collection of software. I'm always looking for new software that interest you.

Dietary intervention

At least 50% of children with autism respond to dietary intervention. The main culprits are the casein (found in dairy products) and gluten (which is found in wheat, barley, rye and oats). Many scientists from the research suggest that the undigested gluten and / or casein enters the bloodstream and wreak havoc in the child's system, which affects brain function and learning processes. Many parents observed that casein and gluten-free foods that their children vague, slow and spacey. Others say that these foods trigger episodes of extreme aggression or self-harm.

Vitamin E
Recent studies show that vitamin E reduces oxidative stress and may be able to protect against chemical damage that can cause autism. Excellent natural sources of vitamin E are the raw sunflower seeds, almonds, olives, papaya, turnip greens and spinach.

Drugs

There is still no drug to cure the core symptoms of autism, but may alleviate some behavioral problems. Antidepressants like Prozac can reduce repetitive behaviors. stimulants like Ritalin may decrease hyperactivity. Anti-psychotic drugs can decrease aggression and hyperactivity. Beware of side effects though. Recent studies have shown children on Ritalin could suffer side effects hair loss to heart attacks. Risperdal is used to treat irritability associated with autistic disorder, including temper tantrums, deliberate self-injury and aggression in children and adolescents between 5 and 16. The approval is the first for the use of a drug to treat behaviors associated with autism in children. Risperdal, first approved by the FDA in 1993, has been used to treat schizophrenia and disorder bipolar adults. antipsychotic is not a cure for autism, nor treat the disease itself, but may offer relief for some children.

No
There is no substitute
Whether you use diet intervention, enzymes, drugs or medications, none of them is a substitute for principles of teaching intervention should keep your child's education, using this window of opportunity to its best advantage. no other intervention has been shown only be as successful.

Exercise

All children benefit from exercise. Children with autism have shown remarkable improvement with vigorous exercise, especially with concentration and alertness. Therapy daily living developed by the late Dr. Kiyo Kitahara of Tokyo, Japan places strong emphasis on systematic education through group dynamics, the mix of academics and technology, art, music and education vigorous physical. The Boston Higashi School applies Daily Life Therapy. It is now famous in the U.S. for its high rate of success in helping children with autism. It is true that a healthy mind exists in a healthy body. You have to improvise to teach your child to play and exercise. For example, if you think your child is not ready for badminton, try to get them to hit a ball in play instead of a wheel. This is an excellent exercise to help with the coordination of a child and may be a precursor to badminton or tennis.

Auditory information
It was once believed that children with autism can not receive and / or process information hearing. This was because many of the children were deaf. It has been shown only relatively recently that the opposite is actually the case. Typical children can filter out background noise and selectively listen to the speech and the corresponding sound. Children with autism can not easily filter out background noise. So someone talk with them may well be the sound of a car driving past. Understandably, the vast amount of auditory stimuli can easily overload a child with autism. In some cases, the child with the intent of blocking the stimulus by holding the ears or rocking from side to side. The best way to calm a child with autism is to reduce noise and other stimulus levels right down. bright flashing colors could also be distressing for him. As mentioned above, autism is a sensory dysfunction and the five senses could cause problems in a child with the disease.

Sleep

Getting enough sleep is very important to a child with autism, as the burden of encouragement in it all day will be much greater than a typical child.

Stims
Performance of stimulation or "stims' is when the child does something repetitively such as flapping hands or running here and there. STIM A is usually a defense mechanism for the child when under stress or when you need to relax, for example. when he comes home from school. A little Stimming should be tolerated by parents. How else is interested in is the ideal way to avoid this behavior.

Echolalia
This is when the child is to repeat (sometimes repeatedly) what he hears without understanding what he is saying. Although this is not the best behavior, the child can at least vocalize words and can be taught speech and language. You can use this to the greatest advantage of taking the child to express a variety of words, which come into use in subsequent years. Better yet, show him a picture of what you are saying before saying it.

STIM verbal
The child may stutter repeatedly about a number of things like your favorite TV show or movie. Many experts say to stop all the babblings of his son. I disagree completely with this for the simple reason that even children babble like a typical precursor to the general discourse about 1.5 years old. Children with autism start speech later and begin at that time by babbling. All you need do is set up with him when this is okay (for example, when at home) and when not it is, ie in public.
He needs to be taught awareness of others' reactions to their verbal STIM. You need to work in it makes this quiet or nonverbal. You can actually increase in what is Stimming about through conversation, drawing and role-playing in an attempt to turn this STIM in a learning process.

Adrenaline

All children need a break from work. Consider this extract from the Women's Weekly: "Short, intense emotion can actually make them more resilient and able to cope better with stress and prolonged stress. Having a day of work and organize to spend doing something I always wanted to do – but make it a challenge that makes you a little nervous, something that expands its limits! Book a flight in a hot air balloon go on a roller coaster or a parachute jump, or plan a day at the races with friends. Learn to Rally-walk, or go on a trip to the ocean where whales can be seen and dolphins. Take time to do something new, exciting and a little fear can trigger the fight-or-flight biological, flooding the body with stress hormones. But once the walk or jump is more, the hormonal changes are rapidly reversible and anxiety is replaced by euphoria. Research at the University of Nebraska, supports this idea, demonstrating that the "coup" that receives intermittent physiological activation results in a short-term response to stress may be as effective in overcoming stress as the exercise repeated. "The same applies to all children, so they have their adrenaline tip and avoid prolonged work at home or at school.

Take a break

Like all of us, your child will have a complete break from work every few months. Some parents even reported a sudden increase in speech when they have taken their children out of town or on vacation. When you resume work with him, you may need to start slowly and increase that more than a week or two.

Toilet training

I often get mothers calling and asking about toilet training. Toilet training in children typically begins around 2 to 3 years. When you feel that your child is ready, you need to remove the diaper and you will feel the discomfort of dirt in your pants for a while before changing to it. You have to start him for passing urine. To begin serious training is necessary to set aside a weekend. You need a timer or a ring tone, a portable toilet that can sit easily and many of the reinforcements, for example. pieces candy, chocolate or some other prizes. Do this exercise in the classroom or the playing area in Give plenty of fluids to drink – juice, water, lemonade, etc. Set the timer to leave every 15 minutes and each time it shuts down, the sit on the toilet for about a minute. Do not pressure him to do anything. If it passes, even a little urine, reward him immediate reward associated with the job. allow access to the portable toilet until you are ready for regular use of toilets.

Encourage independence

A child with autism should be encouraged to do things for himself. A system called reverse sequence can be useful in this case by a task can be divided into stages. A simple example is to pull his pants. Start up the pants for him until they are nearly in and get do the rest. Do this for a number of days until you get the hang of it. Then try to get that start between the knees and hips. Before you know it, he will from the ankles up. Although this is a long time and many parents simply dress the child themselves, the additional effort involved in the chain reverse encourage the child to be independent and have more self esteem. When your language skills improve, so get him something he wants in a place like McDonalds while enjoying from a distance. Choose a quiet time when not initially have to queue like this itself is a feat itself. Another crucial area where a child with autism should teach principles is security in your environment.

Safety awareness and autism

Security should be encouraged from an age very early. Crossing the road is difficult for any child and that would be needed to maintain the child's hand every time you near traffic. However, instilling the basic concept of traffic awareness can begin very early. What I did with my son caught his hand and ask him to tell me when it was safe to cross, just wondering "Is it safe?" I had the idea when he was anxious to cross the street to your favorite video library. He soon developed had to look both ways for traffic before answering "yes" or "no". Within a week, he understood the whole concept. universalization of education is often a problem for children with autism. To teach a child with autism to generalize the principle of not running across the street, should be taught in many different places. If you teach in one place, the child will think that the rule only applies to a specific place.
Do not miss the opportunity to teach your child. One parent reported there was a great success with his son when he was out playing on the trampoline or swing. She him to recite rhymes and songs with much more success here when they were inside the table.
Studies have shown that the oscillations are the number one cause of injuries to children in the yard. Very young children with autism are particularly at risk, being more aware of the danger. After a couple of close calls, I had the idea of hanging a heavy bag in one of the doors of our house. The children were allowed to hit, punch and push the bag that hung a few inches of soil. Soon, they became aware they had to stay out of the way of a heavy pendulum mass.

Taking your child to interact with the computer

A home computer is a valuable teaching tool for your child. Most children with autism are naturally attracted to the sights and sounds of a computer. Children as young as 12 months or younger are able to sit in the laps of their parents and to interact with a computer at home. Very few children under three years will be able to operate the mouse. Do not waste valuable time waiting for that to happen. A child will be able to use a touch screen much before use a mouse. Touch-screens allow a child to navigate around a touch screen program directly instead of co-relation of the movements of hand to the mouse cursor (a feat difficult for some adults!).

Touchscreens

There are two types of touch screens:
a) when the screen is touch-sensitive monitor (expensive) and
b) add-on touch screen, pictured below, which can put on your existing monitor (cheaper alternative). The add-on will come with some software and an adapter to connect to the mouse input. Get one that allows the use of your mouse and your child can use the mouse when ready. Leave the mouse on the side of the keyboard. His son eventually start using the mouse and then is arguably a touch screen add-on.

Other children
A child with autism should be encouraged to play and associate with children typical of their age or even somewhat higher. Given the choice, we encourage you to interact with more vocal, animated instead of shy children, children alone, so his speech will be stimulated. Children often respond better to the comments of their peers than their parents or therapists. Seeing them play together. Those that do involve in the game will be aa greater benefit him. play dates with other children is an excellent idea. Children with autism often do not like going to new places and seeing faces unknown. Brothers and sisters are always a great advantage. Imitation and turns are the cornerstones of communication. From an early age, be exposed to many environments different people as possible.

Talk with your child

If you remember only one thing from this document, please remember this – The best and simplest advice for anyone who has a child with autism is to keep talking to her son, telling him what you're doing, what is happening and what will happen. Children with autism like routine and can use this to best advantage. use very simple terms so that the child understands and, of course, speak at a speed that the child can absorb. Avoid long strings of verbal instructions. People with autism have problems remembering the sequence. If the child can read, write instructions on a piece of paper. A program or a graph of the daily happenings and events on the day, preferably in the form of images that can be put on a bulletin board is an excellent idea. If the child can read a written list can often help. If you have not, however, you must use the images.

What is not
teach your child
A typical child can easily take two or more languages before the age of six. However, I suggest you never try to teach a child with autism more than one language. Also, although other subjects such as maths, science etc are important, maintaining a strong focus on your child's speech and language. Not much use to force the issue with other issues, if the skills your child can not keep up.
The second thing is that religious studies. concepts such as God, hell, devil, heaven and style can be confusing and even fear concepts to a child with autism. Personally, I leave this matter to a stage much more advanced in the development of children. There are many more things you could teach your child during this period.

Canto
Encourage your child to join the school choir or take voice lessons. Children with autism often speak in a monotone. Singing will help develop the range in the voice of his son.

Mathematics

Setting up the mathematical situations to real life is much more stimulating than just written sums on paper to be creative and use real objects, money, prices in the supermarket, etc.

Always
insist on an answer
Once your child begins to respond to you in any way, either verbally, with an image, symbol or other, must always, always, always insist on an answer to everything I ask. It is much easier to do the opposite, but if it does, will soon learn he is able to get away with lack of response and his communication will be affected.

Stress management
At some point you may need to do some management work Stress to your child. These exercises should be done when the child is calm, working towards the use of these techniques when he emphasizes.

Building Social Skills
A child with autism must be taught how to behave properly in public and build social skills. We of these market software titles that teach good behavior in different contexts:

My Community CD teaches children and young people appropriate social behaviors, interactions, expectations and safety precautions with peers different from adults in their community. This CD incorporates video of real people interacting in different community settings such as a restaurant, doctor, a friend's house, grocery store, and neighborhood, and allows users to predict what should be appropriately said or done next. This multi-level program is aimed at people with a cognitive age of 5-15 years. This program is for Macintosh (OS X and later) and IBM compatible PC.

School
Rules Volume 1 teaches behaviors acceptable for structured activities in relation to class, group work, and physical education along with unstructured times of hallway interaction and lockers. This volume also targets the sensitive issues of PE locker room and personal hygiene. Cognitive goal of 8-18 years.

School Rules Volume 2
teaches social interpretation skills in unstructured times where social rules are tougher. This CD uses scenarios such as getting food, wait in line, eat, talk to friends, or just spend time "to demonstrate social awareness. In addition, this volume also addresses time management, organizational skills and the use of schedules at school. Cognitive objectives of 8-18 years. These programs are Macintosh (OS X and later) and IBM compatible PC.

Preschool Playtime Volume 1 and 2 to teach young children the basic peer interactions and play skills such as taking turns, sharing, requesting, cooperation and exchange activities through real situations of social life as a day in the park, in preschool or going a play date.

This program includes 5 complexity levels and numerous videos to target a wide range of skills. All levels include a fun and motivating social game of Duck, Duck Goose, Ring Around the Rosie, and Hide and Seek, which is incorporated as the user plays the computer program. This program is aimed at people with a cognitive age of 3-7 years and includes a simple lesson plan used to customize the video sequences shown for each student.

Listen to your child
Once your child becomes verbal must document what he knows and understands. Listen to your child and document the new words you think you know or should know. I started with a handful of words in an Excel spreadsheet. Keep this document so that my son was very valuable as did insurance I knew and understood the words. The list grew to more than thousand words in less than 12 months. It also introduced new frequently used words in the list and images used to make sure he knew what he meant. By not keeping a living document, you risk losing your child the words and ultimately have a very limited vocabulary.

Watch your child

Balloon Animals Hats
Does anyone have creative ideas for a birthday party theme Outback?

My son turning three next month and we are pulling him an Outback theme birthday party! However, I am having some difficulty reaching creativity and fresh ideas. So far I have someone coming to do a show animals with small animals in the Outback, I am making a birthday cake in the shape of a crocodile, and their invitations have a koala and eucalyptus in the front. (I am album invitations cuts) I think I'm going to a good start, but now I'm at a road block. I'm not sure what to write in the invitations (in addition to the obvious and Khakis optional) I do not really want to have balloons and pieces focus on the tables so I'm not quite sure what to do that and what should I use for party favors? Safari hats, scarves, boomerangs, or binoculars? Please help and thanks in advance!

that's great just to go with the flow of U are doing great until now! I mean I am 16 and Astill sounds like a cool party! ps. go with the theme DONT go crazy with a decor that is realistic.
